Abstract

This study aimed to analyze: 1) the effect of academic supervision on the work motivation of public elementary school teachers, 2) the effect of academic supervision on the performance of public elementary school teachers, 3) the influence of work motivation on the performance of public elementary school teachers,4) the effect of academic supervision through work motivation on the performance of public elementary school teachers. The data analysis technique used SEM. The results of this study indicate that 1) academic supervision has a positive and significant effect on work motivation (β  0.338 and α 0.039) 2) academic supervision has a positive and significant effect on performance (β  0.442 and α 0.031); 3) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance (β 0.067 and α 0.031), 4) academic supervision through work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance  (correlation value 2.281 and α 0.028).
