Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the management of the full day school program in strengthening the character of discipline and Islamic values of students at SMPIT Ar-Rasyid. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study obtained information that the management of the full day school program at SMPIT Ar-Rasyid is generally integrated from planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program with a good structure. The management of daily programs such as congregational prayer, the habit of reading the Qur'an, and daily activities have proven to be able to develop the character of discipline and Islamic values of students. The challenges faced include student fatigue and long distances. However, cooperation between the school and parents can provide important support for the success of character strengthening. This study concludes that the management of the Full Day School program that is in line with Islamic values can be an effective tool in character education for students.
