The aim of this research is to analyze the social values in the novel Samudra Pasai by Putra Gara. Social values are divided into devotion, mutual help, kinship, caring, discipline, empathy, justice, tolerance and cooperation. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. The data source for this research is the novel Samudra Pasai by Putra Gara. The data collection method in this research uses the listening and note-taking method. The results of this research are that in the novel Samudra Pasai by Putra Gara there are 55 data on social values, including devotion, mutual help, kinship, caring, discipline, empathy, justice, tolerance and cooperation.
